Induction Process
Lap of Luxury’s focus is on dogs’ comfort with the appropriate blend of dogs, getting to know my home, garden and some of the other dogs in my care. Unfortunately, boarding bookings for dogs who have not completed the induction process are not possible. If you have a holiday coming up, let's get the induction process completed to enable you to schedule a lovely holiday for your dog while you are away.
Before your first visit
A quick checklist so your dog is ready to make the most of induction day.
✓ Your dog should be at least one year old.
✓ Please ensure your dog is house-trained.
✓ Proof of being neutered / spayed.
✓ Proof of annual vaccinations, including kennel cough and proof of recent worming, flea and tick treatments.
What to bring
A few home comforts make the first visit go smoothly.
✓ Dog food that your dog normally eats.
✓ Lead, collar / harness with ID tag.
✓ Bedding and favoured toys, so your dog fees at home
✓ Any necessary medicines and instructions.
Three steps
1 – One hour meet and greet for owner(s) and dog(s).
2 – Four hour familiarisation session with you here for first half hour.
3 – Eight hour day (and) overnight stay if you will be boarding.
One overnight stay is required before a longer-term boarding booking is accepted to ensure your dog will be comfortable at Lap of Luxury.
